Yes, that is correct. When you travel without e-purse balance, afterwards you only pay for your journeys with a monthly invoice. All your journeys are recorded in our records and can be viewed in your MyGVB account under ‘travel history’.

No, you don’t need e-purse balance to travel with GVB Flex. You can simply check in and out as you normally would. Every month, you receive retrospectively the costs for your monthly fixed amount and journeys made with any discounts. If you opt for GVB Easy Flex or the other Flex variants without train, you will need e-purse balance to travel by train.

If you also wish to travel by train without e-purse balance, it is important to activate ‘train' in combination with GVB Start Flex, Flex or Extra Flex. Travel by train on account is not possible with Easy Flex. 

No, with GVB Flex you will only receive a discount on the e-purse balance journeys you make with GVB trams, buses, night buses and metros.

Because you are travelling on account, you won’t see how much a journey costs when checking in and out at the gates and posts. Under ‘my travel history’ in your MyGVB account, you will see an overview of your journeys and the related costs. It sometimes takes a bit longer before journeys are added to the systems. Check again a week later to see whether the journeys are visible.

Via the ‘my travel history’ menu in your MyGVB account, you can filter your journeys and export them to an Excel file.

If you travel with the GVB night bus with GVB Flex, depending on your Flex variant, you will receive a 10%, 20% or 40% discount on your night bus journey.

Please note: when changing between GVB night buses and travelling with GVB Flex, the change will be considered a new journey, for which changing costs will be charged. Once the invoice has been received, a request may be made once a month to request back the costs for changing. Please contact our Customer service.

Important information: The free product ‘Night Bus E-Purse Balance’, which makes a change between GVB night buses free of charge when travelling on standard e-purse balance, does not unfortunately work in combination with GVB Flex.
