Making changes or cancelling

GVB Flex can be cancelled from 1 month after the start date. After this period it can be cancelled from the first day of the following month. First request to cancel in your MyGVB account. Then the ‘cancellation’ product is ready for you at the machine. Once you have collected the “cancellation’’ from the machine, GVB Flex will be deactivated and thereby stopped. It could be that a final invoice and direct debit is yet made after cancelling, for the journeys in the period up to the cancellation.

Important: if you fail to collect the “cancellation” from the ticket machine in good time (i.e. before the date of cancellation), GVB Flex will continue and thereby your payment obligation too.

Unable to figure it out in MyGVB? The Service & Tickets desk can sort this out for you too.

This is easy to sort out in your MyGVB account. Activate ‘train’ under your GVB Flex product.

Please note: You must activate the product ‘train’ by loading the product onto your card at a ticket machine. Do this on the same day as 'activate train' in your MyGVB account. At the ticket machine, select 'collect order' and then select the product ‘Travel on account Train’.

You can collect it from the ticket machine until the date on which your cancellation takes effect. If you fail to do so, you can request the cancellation again. This means that costs will be charged until the new cancellation date.

It is not possible to pause GVB Flex, however GVB Flex can be cancelled. If you reorder GVB Flex, this is considered a new order. A 1-month period applies again in which cancellations are not possible.

Tip: If you wish to make use of public transport a period less or not at all and do not wish to cancel GVB Flex, you can also switch temporarily to the cheapest Flex variant.
